Rav en Vinyl Cutter FAQ
1.
Q: Where
do I connect the Rav en Vinyl Cutter's data cable to my
computer?
A: The Rav en Vinyl
Cutter connects to
the Com1 or Com2 serial port on your computer. This is
either a 9- or 25-pin male port. To install the software
you will have to determine whether you have chosen Com1
or Com2. If your computer does not have a serial port
you must purchase a USB to serial port adaptor. |

Q: When I switch
the vinyl cutter power on, the LED display shows a row
of black squares. What does this mean?
A: You will notice
the cutting head is against the right or left side of
the cutter. Simply switch the power off, and manually
move the cutting head toward the center of the machine.
Now, switch the power on again. Normal operation should
be resumed. |

4. Q:
The vinyl cutter is cutting correctly on one side, but
too deep on the other. What is the problem?
A: The blade is
protruding too far out of the holder. It should stick
out only the thickness of the vinyl. Adjust this
distance manually. |
