Why wait for spring....
How many can finish the line of this old TV commercial? Those of
us who can are probably dating ourselves. In fact, I can’t
honestly remember what was being promoted (another allusion to
my advancing years?) But still the message has stuck. The call
to action came through loud and clear. Even Nike has picked up
on that one.
Spring into Action
So, here we are; it’s almost spring. Are you prepared? Now is
the time to be ready for all those outdoor sign orders. This
could be your busiest season ever - that is if you’re ready to
go - to give your customers what they want. Ready... Fire! If
you spend too much of your time taking aim, you might miss out.
Best jump right in there, and seize the order! Don’t have the
proper equipment to produce the job? Uh, oh! Don’t despair -
Corbins to the rescue. But, more about that later.
Moving right along, another perspective on the ‘ready, fire,
aim’ recommendation is not to wait for the orders before you get
set up with the necessary equipment. Stop for just a minute and
ask yourself: Did I get involved in this industry only to create
a job for myself? Or was my original intention to start a
successful business? Ah, ha! I’m going to suggest even if you
only started out to do the former, it’s not too late to do the
latter. In your own way you’ve already done the ‘ready, fire’
part. Now it’s time to take aim. Ready, fire, aim doesn’t mean
not having a plan. It simply means that if you have a good idea,
and something concrete to base it on, then don’t waste your time
over-thinking it before you get the ball rolling. Remember, it’s
never too late to correct and continue. Donald Trump does it all
the time!

Excuse me, while I take this opportunity to recommend a book.
This one is hot off the press. It’s by my personal mentor, T.
Harv Eker, the promoter of the ‘ready, fire, aim’ methodology.
Released only a couple of weeks ago, “Secrets of the Millionaire
Mind” is already a #1 best seller! And you’re in luck. I have a
few copies of the special signature edition to sell. Better yet,
these copies include a special gift from Harv worth $2590 - two
free tickets for the 3-day Millionaire Mind Seminar! Blair,
George, Lynn, and I have all attended this mind-blowing event.
(Alas, we had to pay!) For more info contact Blair at Corbins.
He can hook you up with a book.
Panacea Predilection
So, now you’re ready to turn your job into a lucrative business.
How do you create a successful business, anyway? The masters
will tell you it’s all about easing the pain. Your target market
is feeling some kind of pain, and it’s up to you to help them
relieve it. You must be the one to provide the aspirin of the
sign world. What does that look like? Give them what they need
to be successful themselves. Sometimes it’s as simple as giving
them what they want. However, occasionally it behooves you, as
the expert, to help them see what is in their best interests.
Okay, I’ve just indicated that you must be an expert in your
marketplace. This will probably require some research. If you
jumped in and fired without taking aim at market research, your
next step is to correct that oversight. It’s not too late. Check
it out. Signage is a visual medium. It’s often a matter of
fashion. This is good because it gives you the opportunity to
change or add signs for your clients over and over again. What’s
popular? What’s the public responding to? What will grab their
attention? What will get your client noticed above all others?
You have to give it to ‘em. That’s your job, and that’s how you
will create a successful business. A job will keep you going day
by day, but a lucrative business, with a good system will take
care of you for a lifetime - even after the job ends.
You’re too busy? You haven’t the time to do the research and set
up an organized system? Mark my words, it will ultimately pay
off to make some space, get some help, or do whatever it takes
ASAP to do
these things. You may have to work even harder at first - sorry
- but in the end you’ll find yourself working smarter instead.
At the very least, you’ll have greater peace of mind when you
see your enterprise flowing smoothly and achieving more.

As far as help is concerned, I’m going to offer once again. We
at Corbins are experts in the industry. If it’s advice you’re
seeking, we’d be happy to make suggestions. We’re familiar with
the market and the current trends. We know our equipment inside
and out. If only there was a perfect machine to do it all, but
since we’re still waiting for that miracle, we can assist you to
make an informed decision based on your greatest needs. Can you
get by with one machine, or will you increase your profits by
adding another? These are all things to think about, but actions
speak louder than thoughts, so I’m initiating a call to action.
Why wait for spring? Indeed, why?
One last time, we’re here to help because we care about you.
We’ll always do the best we can to do the right thing for you.
Rarely our exuberance to serve everyone all at once results in a
bit of chaos. Hopefully, should that happen, you will understand
that our heart is in the right place. It is said that out of
chaos comes order, so if you experience some inconvenience
because of us, please accept our apology, and expect us to take
responsibility. We always do our best to rectify the situation,
and throw something extra in as well. Our intention is to serve.
If you like our service, please tell others; if you don’t,
please tell us.
For your success,
Team Corbin
Many thanks to all
who have taken time to respond to “Quoth the Raven...” Your
feedback is greatly appreciated. It’s always valid, and it’s
always valuable to me. It means you’re reading, which validates
my purpose for writing. If I can bring a little light into your
day, we both win. - The Raven
