For starters, our Spring
Extravaganza was a huge success. Thanks to all who attended. It
was great to see old and new faces. For those who didn’t make
it, you missed out on some good food, great special deals, and
scintillating conversation. We even had someone waiting in the
wings to take home the VectorArt Mega Collection for only
$100.00! It was a time to browse, ask questions, observe the
occasional demo, and just simply chill out with a cold drink or
cup of coffee. And those that came for the barbecue had the
opportunity to help us celebrate George’s birthday. A good time
was had by all - ask those who participated.
Walt’s World
Before I forget, hope to see you at the Alberta Sign Association
Trade Show at the Fantasyland Hotel, June 4th and 5th. If we’ve
convinced you that digital printing is worthwhile pursuing, then
you won’t want to miss our booth. We’ll have a Summa DC3 Plus up
and running. If we haven’t convinced you, please give us another
chance. Please........? I’m not above groveling, you know.
Greenhouse Effect
So, did you enjoy the Victoria Day long weekend? I hope you took
time for some R&R. It seems too often we forget it’s just as
important to relax as it is to work hard. Do you realize you
actually accomplish more by balancing the two? There’s research
to support that remark, and yet many of us keep on pushing.
As for me, I didn’t do much. I had planned to do some gardening.
It is that time of year, but somehow that plan went out the
window. Although, I wish while it was out there it would have
manifested a picture perfect landscape for me. I mean, it was my
intention.....
So, I get the power of intention, and how it applies to the law
of least effort, but somehow I think that’s not quite how it
works. Somewhere along the line considerable attention must be
focused on that intention, in order for something to happen.
Where the law of least effort comes in is in allowing the
intention to unfold without controlling the outcome.
Expect Miracles
In other words, it’s necessary to be flexible enough to allow
things to occur just the way they’re meant to. Often it might
mean that things don’t turn out quite the way one expects.
However, trusting divine guidance opens a lot of doors. Letting
go enough to embrace uncertainty reveals a whole lot of
possibilities. Let’s face it, if I am determined to have
everything my way, how limiting is that?!
What do I mean? Well, not long ago I recall a situation
involving myself and another person. The two of us had agreed to
make plans with friends, but the details became a matter of
contention. One of us was adamant that we should call and meet
with them immediately, while the other had a different agenda. A
debate (okay, a quarrel) ensued, and in the midst of
frustrations an unsettled decision was made to arrange a meeting
that afternoon. A phone call was made and the invitation was
extended - only to be turned down! Never mind, it was only a
postponement. My point is this: In the muck and mire of
competing egos we just couldn’t see that there was another
possible outcome.
I Am
It’s been said that God works in mysterious ways, and I believe
that the universal intelligence that is God sees and
orchestrates all possibilities. We only need trust enough to be
open to them. I find the prospect exciting that I might
accomplish things that are beyond my understanding.
To sum it up, we have an intention. We focus our attention on
the intention. We don’t get caught up in controlling the
outcome. Sound simple? Control freaks beware!
Interested in learning more about synchronicity or synchro-destiny
in your life? Here’s the place to squeeze in my inevitable book
recommendation. My latest adventure in reading involves Deepak
Chopra’s “The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire”. Have you ever
considered that coincidences are really miracles? Aha! You might
want to pay closer attention. But don’t take my word for it.
Read the book.
Wayne’s World
What you can take my word for is we at Corbins are interested in
you. We’d like to know your intentions. We’re happy to help you
with the attention necessary to manifest the desired result.
Maybe we’ll have some ideas you haven’t considered, or we might
be able to assist in making your ideas work. Or possibly we can
help you to see a different result. Whatever, perhaps we can’t
do miracles, but we believe in them. Blair has the t-shirt to
prove it!
